Requirements
Must:
- 5-8+ years of ServiceNow development experience, particularly with ITOM in enterprise environments.
- Solid programming skills in JavaScript, including expertise with Glide API, Script Includes, and Business Rules.
- Demonstrated ability to implement solutions adhering to ServiceNow best practices such as:
- Secure coding practices, maintainability, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Configuration-first mindset with controlled customization.
- Extensive experience in integration, including:
- Scripted REST APIs, REST/SOAP integrations, and troubleshooting full lifecycle failures.
- Practical experience in at least 2-3 ITOM domains, including:
- Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, Cloud Discovery (AWS/Azure/GCP), HAM, SAM.
- Strong sense of ownership and competency in independent project execution.
Responsibilities
- Take senior-level technical responsibility for ServiceNow ITOM business-as-usual (BAU) support, ensuring optimum stability and availability.
- Diagnose and address complicated production issues, encompassing:
- ITOM, IT Asset Management, Security Operations applications, and overall platform stability as necessary.
- MID Server, credential issues, Discovery failures, integration errors.
- Alert management, enrichment, correlation, routing, and noise mitigation.
- Design and implement AI-driven integrations with ServiceNow, beginning with:
- Microsoft Copilot for Teams (automation and IT workflows driven by Teams).
- Enable AI-backed operational use cases, such as:
- Incident/ticket generation, updates, and smart routing from Teams prompts.
- Knowledge and record retrieval/synthesis based on ServiceNow data.
- Operational insights and summaries for expedited decision-making.
- Create secure and scalable integration patterns employing:
- Scripted REST APIs, authentication techniques, and integration monitoring controls.
- Orchestration and automation (utilizing Flow Designer/IntegrationHub where suitable).
- Collaborate within a high-functioning platform team, contributing to:
- Shared engineering standards, mentoring and supporting fellow developers through collaboration and knowledge transfer, coupled with driving best practices via reusable patterns, documentation, and teamwork.
- Security-focused development, performance enhancement, and maintainable solutions.
- Controlled customization and comprehensive documentation/runbooks.
