Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in data engineering, analytics, or similar fields.
- Bachelors degree in a related discipline or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong programming abilities in Python, SAS, and SQL.
- Experience with Power BI, specifically DAX and M Code.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools such as Office, Power Automate, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Advanced skills in SQL Server configuration and optimization for analytical tasks.
- Knowledge of data architecture, including dimensional modeling (star/snowflake) and enterprise data management.
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly Redshift and Glue.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Additional programming languages such as Java or JavaScript are a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML workflows and data security best practices is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from various sources.
- Create and manage efficient data pipeline architectures to accommodate large-scale analytics.
- Implement incremental loads and change data capture (CDC) strategies for reliable data processing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Optimize SQL Server environments for high-throughput analytical applications.
- Design partitioned tables and indexed views to enhance performance for complex queries.
- Manage SQL Server recovery models and develop backup/restore strategies.
- Support both cloud and on-premise data platforms to ensure secure and efficient data access.
- Develop and sustain Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend analytical needs and drive data-informed strategies.
- Work closely with business partners, analysts, and technical teams to resolve data-related challenges.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Exercise sound judgment to address complex problems within established governance frameworks.
