Requirements
Must:
- We require a bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- We require expert-level experience with Azure and AWS cloud services and architecture, supported by a strong development background and recent architectural work.
- We require deep hands-on knowledge of Azure Databricks, Fabric, SQL DB, Azure SQL MI, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, RDS, Redshift, DocumentDB, and DMS.
- We require practical coding ability in Python, TypeScript, Java, or NodeJS.
- We require exposure to AI/ML workflows and MLOps practices.
- We require strong understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud-native architecture principles, cloud operations, and cloud security models.
- We require solid familiarity with CDK, AWS SageMaker Studio, Glue, Managed Airflow, Lake Formation, Athena, S3, ELK/OpenSearch, Docker, and containers.
- We require working knowledge of visualization and reporting tools such as AWS QuickSight and Power BI.
- We require 10+ years of experience in application development and design, including hands-on delivery of secure and scalable cloud platform patterns on Azure.
- We require 3–4 recent years of architecture experience with a strong focus on applications, data, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure.
- We require in-depth knowledge of cloud services including application integration, functions, cloud databases, data warehousing and analytics, machine learning, developer tools, and security and identity management.
- We require proven experience architecting, designing, and implementing high-volume, highly available cloud applications with a strong level of automation.
- We require the ability to translate between abstract and concrete concepts for different audiences and contexts.
- We require a balance of long-term strategic thinking and enterprise-wide perspective, along with the ability to deliver practical business and IT solutions.
- We require the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and adapt quickly to organizational priorities.
- We require strong facilitation, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- We require the ability to lead detailed client workshops covering discovery, cloud compliance, and security.
Responsibilities
- We design holistic patterns for secure cloud application environments, cloud platform enhancements, application architecture, data services, and cloud integrations.
- We perform technical assessments of existing architectures, including infrastructure, performance, data security, scalability, and related considerations.
- We architect and deliver cloud solutions across application, data, and infrastructure layers, including programmatic integration of cloud services.
- We develop application and data architecture models that support service-oriented delivery.
- We review solution designs to ensure cloud suitability and optimal design, while automating deployment patterns for reuse.
- We help business lines design scalable, highly available application solutions that take advantage of cloud services.
- We collaborate with architects, operations, infrastructure, and delivery teams to align new services with application and infrastructure roadmaps.
- We advise business lines on refactoring applications for the cloud using 12-factor and cloud-native microservices practices.
- We partner with stakeholders to shape cloud migration and transformation strategies and roadmaps across application, information, business, and technology domains.
- We identify cloud architecture gaps and recommend emerging technologies and improvements.
- We create pilots and proof of concepts for proposed solutions and support approval recommendations.
- We document best practices, guidance, and reusable templates.
- We lead working sessions with subject matter experts across infrastructure, operations, applications, vendors, and leadership to coordinate migrations, resources, and timelines.
- We engage with external vendors to evaluate solutions, capabilities, products, and services.
- We promote a DevOps-driven culture and advance Infrastructure-as-Code and Infrastructure-as-a-Service practices.
