Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience in software development
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka, including Kafka Streams, KSQL, Schema Registry, and Connectors
- Strong skills in Java, NodeJS, or Python
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms (EC2, ECS, Lambda) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities
- Confluent Kafka certification is preferred
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace and ELK is a plus
- Background in financial services is desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and create Kafka-based data streaming platforms utilizing Confluent Kafka
- Architect and implement messaging systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and capable of high throughput
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish technical requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives
- Mentor and support junior developers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment throughout the development lifecycle
- Monitor and enhance Kafka clusters for optimal performance, reliability, and scalability
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends in event streaming and distributed systems
