Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle and collaborate across functional teams to convert requirements into features
- Manage development teams and processes while conducting software testing and maintenance
- Translate user needs into technical specifications by effectively comprehending and facilitating technical requirements
- Analyze, develop, test, and implement new software programs, maintaining comprehensive documentation throughout the software development life cycle
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot issues in system and core software components
- Ensure compliance of code/configurations with security, logging, error handling, performance standards, and non-functional requirements
- Evaluate new technologies for compatibility with the program/system/eco-system and assess potential impacts on process, data, and risk
- Adhere to release management processes and standards while implementing version control
- Assist in the interpretation and documentation of client requirements
- Primarily focus on our business/group at BMO, with a possibility of broader enterprise-wide involvement
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems within established guidelines
- Operate independently and regularly manage non-routine situations
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required
