Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with C#, Scala, or Java is a plus
- Advanced skills in frontend development using React JS, emphasizing responsive design and modern UI/UX principles
- Strong experience in backend development with FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js frameworks, along with RESTful API design
- Expertise in database technologies, including SQL databases and NoSQL systems
- Knowledge of system architecture focused on microservices, event-driven architecture, and scalable web application systems
- Experience in integrating generative AI tools into workflows and utilizing development tools powered by AI, including LLMs for code assistance
- Understanding of data processing, including pipelines, ETL processes, and capabilities for handling real-time data
- Awareness of performance and security measures, employing monitoring tools, optimization techniques, and maintaining best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
- Self-starter with an independent work ethic and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain full stack web applications leveraging modern frameworks to provide scalable solutions for Investment Banking and Global Markets
- Create and implement responsive user interfaces applying intuitive UX/UI design principles, developing interactive dashboards and data visualization tools for financial analysis
- Construct robust APIs and microservices architectures to facilitate data and service integration across various business units, promoting seamless connectivity and data flow
- Convert intricate financial data into user-friendly formats via web applications and APIs, building efficient data processing pipelines for real-time market data
- Establish extensive testing frameworks and monitoring solutions to guarantee application performance, reliability, and system health within production environments
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, and product managers, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Apply agile methodologies and contemporary development practices, such as code reviews, version control, and SDLC tools to oversee the entire software development lifecycle
- Optimize database design and performance for SQL and NoSQL systems, ensuring data quality and instituting validation frameworks
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in financial technology to enhance applications and influence architectural decisions
- Utilize generative AI tools in development processes to accelerate application creation, documentation, and automated testing while embedding AI-driven features in products
