Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect in a large enterprise environment
- More than 5 years of software development experience (Angular, Java, Node.js, etc.)
- Profound understanding and experience with:
- Internet-facing applications
- Web technologies including Angular, JS, CSS, and content management systems
- Hybrid mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Application security controls for internet-facing applications
- Cloud technologies, specifically AWS
- Industry-standard protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and JWT
- API design, API gateway management, Swagger, Spring Boot, Java, and Node.js
- Comprehensive enterprise solutions from frontend to enterprise services and third-party systems
- A wide range of communication protocols
- Service-oriented architecture, databases, and data modeling techniques
- Real-time and batch interface design and implementation
- TOGAF framework
- Microservice architecture design and implementation
- SOAP/XML and RESTful/JSON schema design and implementation
- Database structures and relational database design
- Security concepts like authorization and single sign-on
- Application design and scaling
- Design Patterns and architectural patterns
- Agile methodology
- Strategic technical direction concerning middleware, CI/CD, testing, systems management, and enterprise data/access layers
- Strong problem-solving capabilities across various complexities
- Expert knowledge in creating designs for complex systems, including requirement analysis and technology selection
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong influencing skills
- Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills, especially in cross-group settings
- Ability to navigate ambiguity
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making
Responsibilities
- Develop a visionary IT architecture roadmap and organizational strategies to align technological solutions with business needs
- Lead and facilitate the design and execution of repeatable technical solutions and processes related to architecture
- Define and document architectural principles, standards, and guidelines for the deployment of business applications, data, and technology
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to explore and define architectural possibilities
- Advise business and development teams on process or system design enhancements
- Ensure systems are technically sound, functionally appropriate, and well-integrated
- Provide immediate responses to critical production issues, coordinating recovery efforts and ensuring timely resolution
- Offer strategic insights as a trusted advisor in business decision-making
- Review and guide technical work while developing productivity tools to enhance delivery speed
- Manage and create key architectural assets within the designated portfolio
- Support the successful implementation of solutions that mitigate negative impacts on technology and budget
- Identify and address risks related to technology solutions and design, assisting stakeholders in resolving potential issues
- Participate in system specification reviews to ensure alignment of system requirements with architectural design
- Investigate relevant technologies, create prototypes, and recommend future applications for product architecture
- Contribute to the preparation of business cases as needed
- Identify opportunities to enhance the technology organizations capabilities through mentoring and knowledge sharing
- Keep updated with industry trends through professional associations and continuous learning
- Provide architectural expertise and guidance to senior leadership
- Operate at an enterprise level, serving as a specialist resource for leaders and stakeholders
- Utilize creative thinking to tackle unique problems and find complex, effective solutions
- Implement changes in response to evolving trends
- Take on broader responsibilities as required
