Requirements
Must:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge and technical proficiency gained through education and practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Cloud developer, particularly in building and supporting ETL pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud, with a minimum of 5 years supporting cloud applications.
- Familiarity with GCP components such as Big Query, App Engine, Cloud Data, Cloud Scheduling, and VertexAI.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in making data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities
- Drive the overall software development lifecycle by collaborating with various functional teams to convert requirements into actionable features.
- Manage development teams and processes while ensuring the quality of software testing and maintenance.
- Translate user needs into detailed technical specifications while facilitating discussions around technical requirements.
- Analyze, develop, test, and document the entire execution of new software programs.
- Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues and resolving faults in core software components.
- Ensure adherence of code and configurations to security standards, logging, error handling, and performance benchmarks.
- Assess new technologies for their compatibility with existing programs and their upstream and downstream impacts.
- Follow release management processes and adhere to version control standards.
- Assist in interpreting and documenting client requirements, with a primary focus on our business/group while considering broader enterprise needs.
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical support, and technical assistance.
- Exercise sound judgment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems within set parameters.
- Operate independently and handle non-routine challenges regularly.
- Be prepared to take on broader work or responsibilities as necessary.
- Coordinate relationships with vendors as well as manage changes and upgrades.
- Design and implement cloud resources and thresholds.
