Requirements
Must:
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or non-MBA Masters program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field, graduating by December 2027, 2028, or 2029 with a strong academic background
- Status as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or an individual legally eligible to work in Canada without future sponsorship
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages with readiness to learn new ones
- Solid background in modern web development, object-oriented programming, and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and contemporary data architectures
- Competence in addressing large-scale challenges and productionizing data pipelines
- Strong quantitative, technical, and financial acumen
- Team-oriented with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and sustain high-performance interactive web applications utilizing modern front-end frameworks like React
- Create and enhance user-friendly web interfaces incorporating appealing and intuitive user experience designs
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs along with advanced reporting tools for capital market trading
- Integrate AI and machine learning into solutions, staying at the forefront of technological advancements
- Write clean and efficient code in contemporary programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++
- Engage in code reviews, unit testing, and quality assurance processes
- Deploy solutions in cloud environments and leverage virtualization techniques, including Docker
- Ensure data accessibility and automate ETL processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop effective solutions
- Upgrade and maintain existing applications and systems
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities to navigate challenges
