Must:
We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). You should possess at least 6 years of experience in SRE or related roles, specifically with large-scale e-commerce or digital platforms. Strong hands-on knowledge of Java-based microservices and APIs is essential, along with proficiency in observability tools such as New Relic or Splunk. You should have hands-on experience with automation scripts (Bash, Python), and be familiar with change management tools like Terraform. A solid understanding of CI/CD, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud technologies is required. We value exceptional communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) on our digital team, I will need you to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital platforms, including our website and mobile applications. You will lead the design, deployment, and management of highly reliable and scalable systems, and be responsible for analyzing and fixing issues related to Java-based microservices, React applications, and backend services. You'll build and maintain monitoring systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, drive cross-functional collaboration to align on system performance goals, and implement SRE principles to enhance service level objectives. Additionally, you'll automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency, conduct root cause analyses for critical production incidents, and ensure reliable deployments through structured change management processes. Collaborating with security teams to maintain stringent security standards will also be part of your role.
