Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent background
- Active Secret Security Clearance (issued within the past 2 years)
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented programming languages, particularly C++
- Experience in Machine Learning and algorithm development
- Demonstrated skills in software algorithm development and optimization
- Prior experience in leading technical or project teams
- Background in embedded software or application development
- Familiarity with software engineering methodologies and tools
- Experience in software testing, validation, and verification
- Extensive experience in embedded and/or application software development, particularly with C++, Python, or Java
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical lead on programs, mentoring team members and presenting design elements at technical interchange meetings with clients
- Analyze, design, code, and modify complex software and algorithms, typically using C++ for simpler systems or larger system subsystems
- Evaluate intricate software designs to identify potential design flaws
- Maintain open communication with management regarding the functions progress and outcomes
- Utilize existing processes and adapt them to integrate the most effective new techniques, ensuring cost-effective design methodologies
- Provide top-level technical leadership for designated design disciplines, including the selection and application of promising new technologies and defining long-term objectives
- Facilitate effective communication among assigned engineers and all participants in the design process
- Act as a subject matter expert in algorithm design related to electro-optical infrared or similar technologies
