Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience developing end-to-end production web applications.
- Familiarity with a server-side MVC framework (such as Django, Rails, ASP.NET MVC, or Laravel).
- Proficient in Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews; comfortable providing and receiving feedback.
- Experience with Docker and local development environments using Compose or equivalent tools.
- (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with Python and Django, HTMX or similar frontend approaches, performance optimization techniques (like caching with Redis or task queues), AWS tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail, observability practices (structured logging, metrics, tracing), Infrastructure as Code (like Terraform, Terragrunt, OpenTofu), and basic security awareness (covering OWASP principles, authentication and authorization, and secrets management).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications, encompassing server-side logic, database operations, and frontend integrations.
- Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment, ensuring they adhere to performance, security, and scalability criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver effective solutions.
- Produce clean, maintainable code; engage in code reviews, offering and receiving constructive criticism.
- Optimize SQL queries, manage database migrations, and develop RESTful APIs.
- Configure and maintain local development environments utilizing Docker and containers.
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud infrastructures, focusing on services like AWS EC2/ECS, RDS, S3, and IAM.
- Diagnose production issues, apply performance optimization techniques, and guarantee robust testing and CI/CD practices.
- Assist in the development of infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Stay updated on web development best practices, including security measures, observability, and infrastructure as code.
