Requirements

Must:
- High school diploma or GED - Minimum of 3 years of experience in PC maintenance - IT I level certification in compliance with AR 25-2 required - IAT II certification as outlined in DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002 necessary - Preferred: MS Desktop Support Technician certification or equivalent - Must possess a Secret Clearance - Strong understanding of information security principles and practices - In-depth knowledge of applications, software, and operating systems, especially Windows 7, 10, MS Office Suite, and strong Excel skills - Familiarity with Citrix and virtualization is a plus - Basic understanding of Windows technology and TCP/IP networking - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts clearly - Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities - Self-motivated with the capability to work independently with minimal supervision - Proactive approach to prevent issues before they arise

Responsibilities

- Assess and troubleshoot computer support issues for users - Provide desktop, software, and peripheral support for NIPRNET and SIPRNET customers - Deliver priority assistance to command staff and report significant outages - Resolve desktop complications using Remote Control and assist with IAVA remediation - Install, configure, and repair desktops, printers, and handheld devices - Identify network disruptions and collaborate with Tier II or III support teams - Troubleshoot WiFi and VPN connectivity issues - Monitor networks proactively using various tools to alert support personnel - Document daily reports and escalate unresolved issues to the next support level - Manage help desk calls and utilize automated incident tracking systems - Configure and troubleshoot MS Windows based systems and all related applications - Support users with collaborative tools during meetings and events
