Information security engineer

- Develop, review, and amend authorization documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in line with federal and DoD policy. - Comprehend and implement DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) system accreditation procedures. - Evaluate operational risk and use cases of integrated open-source and Government Off-The-Shelf/Commercial Off-The-Shelf (GOTS/COTS) software components. - Utilize vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and maintain system accreditation records. - Grasp new concepts quickly, facilitate information sharing for data collection, and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups. - Adhere to established processes when applicable and create defensible processes where none currently exist. - Provide support for security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management initiatives. - Propose system-level solutions to meet security requirements and assist development teams in achieving security posture objectives. - Aid the Government in enforcing design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures. - Apply existing knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) policy, procedures, and organizational structures to design, develop, and execute secure networking, computing, and enclave environments. - Interact effectively with others to complete tasks. - Perform additional duties as assigned.
