Requirements
Must:
- 7 years of programming experience with iSeries (RPGLE, SQL, CL)
- 5 years of experience in functional and technical design
- Proficient with iSeries DB2/400, Turnover, X Analysis
- Background in designing and maintaining large-scale, real-time business applications
- Strong collaborative abilities and experience in creating functional design documentation
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle methodologies
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and working off-hours as necessary
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of iSeries code (RPGLE, SQL, CL) for retail applications
- Facilitate architectural design discussions and implement best engineering practices
- Create efficient, fault-tolerant software while maintaining high standards of code quality
- Conduct peer code reviews, unit testing, and uphold coding standards
- Collaborate with Systems Architects, Analysts, and Product Owners to define requirements and specifications
- Document functional specifications and prepare release artifacts
- Engage in all aspects of the SDLC, including estimation, deployment, and release planning
- Provide second-level support, create knowledge base articles, and address incident tickets
- Be available for off-hours work as needed (including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations)
- Mentor junior engineers and aid in team development and personal growth
