Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- At least 5 years of engineering experience or relevant aviation technical experience
- Preferred familiarity with software tools such as LabVIEW, MatLab Simulink, and MathCad
- Knowledge or experience with the following:
- Hydraulic Actuators (both Internal Locking and Non-Locking)
- Hydraulic Valves, Reservoirs, Accumulators, and Pumps
- Hydraulic Power Packs
- Linear and Rotary Electro-mechanical Actuators
- Ball-screws, Roller Screws, and ACME Screws
- Gears, Splines, and Planetary Gear Sets
- Electronic Enclosures
- Regulatory standards for component qualification and certification
- Vibration testing and modes related to similar systems
- Thermal considerations for comparable components and systems
- Testing requirements such as Fatigue, Endurance, Temperature, and Pressure Testing
- Certified test methods for these product types
- Motors and control systems
- Proven track record in technical and organizational leadership
- Strong problem identification skills coupled with effective solution development
- Demonstrated teamwork capabilities in collaborative environments
- Proficient presentation skills
- Strong analytical and mathematical proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access)
- High adaptability to learning new software tools
- Effective time management skills, able to handle multiple projects and assignments
Responsibilities
- Establishing and executing automated tests for hydraulic and electro-mechanical actuation components
- Gaining expertise in troubleshooting all facets of our testing system
- Working with multi-axis hydraulic loading systems, thermal control systems, motor controls and loading systems, and data acquisition systems
- Maintaining software and calibration for all test equipment
- Developing software for test automation and data acquisition processes
- Assisting with external lab testing, including vibration, altitude, humidity, and icing tests
- Designing and constructing data acquisition and control systems
