Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology architecture.
- Strong understanding of how Digital Workplace technologies support business objectives while balancing visionary and immediate needs.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and user-centric architectural designs.
- Experience in Digital Workplace portfolio planning covering 5-10 year horizons.
- Proficiency in developing integrated solutions across identity, security, collaboration, and support frameworks.
- Familiarity with the interplay between networking, security, cloud architecture, and user experience.
- Experience in leading technical governance, standards formulation, and vendor assessments.
- Ability to measure success and demonstrate value through measurable outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, SCCM, and endpoint monitoring tools.
- Skills in leveraging Power Platform, scripting, and AI for automating processes.
- Familiarity with Lean/Agile methodologies for enhancing problem-solving and minimizing manual workflows.
- Commitment to understanding employee experiences and IT satisfaction using telemetry and feedback.
- Ability to design with empathy considering accessibility, usability, and hybrid working environments.
- Proficient in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences, demonstrating strong leadership and influence.
- Sound decision-making skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant industry experience is preferred.
- Relevant experience in the utility sector is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and align Digital Workplace technology strategies with enterprise objectives and key stakeholders, creating a multi-year roadmap for scalable solutions.
- Develop and maintain architectural documents, including present and future state models, standards, and reference architectures.
- Collaborate on Digital Workplace portfolio planning and budgeting to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives and business priorities as part of the annual Business Plan Development process.
- Establish and uphold Technology Standards while ensuring compliance with Governance requirements.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the digital employee experience, staying updated on emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, and mobile solutions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Solutions Engineers to steer solution design from conception through to implementation.
- Provide technical leadership to business and IT teams by reviewing project designs and supporting delivery efforts.
- Lead change initiatives concerning Digital Workplace technologies from conception through execution.
- Address complex challenges across the Digital Workplace landscape, ensuring high productivity, reliability, and security.
- Proactively identify technology solutions to business challenges by collaborating with peer architects, subject matter experts, business partners, and vendors.
- Deliver expert advice on the entire Digital Workplace stack, encompassing architecture, usage, and optimization.
- Work closely with Digital Workplace teams to incorporate user feedback and pain points into future-state solutions while navigating conflicts and dependencies.
- Present strategic initiatives and solutions effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Actively participate in architectural governance processes, including Communities of Practice and Architecture Review Boards.
- Create clear documentation and simplify complex concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage Microsoft Enterprise Agreement contracts and related services, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to technical teams within the Digital Workplace organization.
