Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in supporting servers or data center hardware within a customer-facing or enterprise environment - Proficiency in handling server components such as CPU, memory, power supplies, and GPUs - Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems - Strong skills in troubleshooting and problem resolution - Ability to work independently on-site while effectively communicating with customers - Eagerness to learn and assist with emerging technologies, including AI platforms - Minimum of 3-5 years in technical support, field service, or data center roles - Associates or Bachelors degree in IT or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience) - Certifications from Dell or other vendors are advantageous but not mandatory - Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, travel to client locations, and accommodate flexible or on-call schedules

Responsibilities

- Provide on-site technical support for Dell server systems and data centers to ensure rapid issue resolution and minimize downtime - Conduct hardware maintenance tasks such as server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware upgrades - Troubleshoot system problems across hardware, firmware, and operating systems, escalating issues as needed - Execute both reactive and preventive maintenance according to established guidelines - Collaborate with internal teams and clients during service events for clear communication and problem resolution - Document all actions taken and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing - Participate in on-call rotations and provide extended support when necessary

We are a leading corporation looking for an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to support our enterprise data center and server environments, particularly focusing on next-generation AI platforms. This role offers a hands-on, customer-facing opportunity to ensure system uptime and resolve intricate hardware issues while delivering exceptional service. The position is based in Childress, TX, with a standard workweek of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and may occasionally require support during different shifts and on-call responsibilities.
