Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (Information Systems, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or at least 6 years of relevant experience
- Positive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and technical capabilities
- Exceptional organizational abilities with keen attention to detail and effective multitasking
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to gain cooperation from managers, stakeholders, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Adaptability to changing priorities
- Skilled in researching project-related challenges and products
- (Preferred) Experience in field work associated with Physical Security systems (e.g., Access Controls, Intrusion Detection, Video Surveillance)
- (Preferred) Background in application development, deployment, or product management within the physical security sector
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning tasks to kick off initiatives with a clear scope
- Anticipate resource needs and schedule appropriately
- Set up projects using Planisware or CSD Intake/Execution tools
- Develop and actively oversee projects to maintain adherence to scope, timeline, and budget
- Create statements of work (SOW) for vendors and subcontractors
- Produce project deliverables, including requirements documents and test plans
- Facilitate technical meetings and weekly status updates, documenting and distributing notes and action items
- Communicate project expectations and statuses with team members, managers, and stakeholders
- Assign tasks to project team members and stakeholders
- Utilize tools like Planisware, Ariba, SAP, and Jira for project execution and reporting
- Proactively manage project scope changes and identify potential risks
- Conduct site walk-downs or visit installation sites as needed
- Identify and resolve conflicts or issues within the project team
- Perform project post-mortems to gather lessons learned
Description
We are seeking a skilled Project Manager for a 12-month hybrid contract role based in Oakland, CA. Our company offers opportunities for professional growth, and with prior management approval, we support travel reimbursements outside the home-work location. Candidates will need to provide a personal laptop until the company laptop is made available, and will be responsible for their own equipment for home office setup.
