Senior Data Center Engineer

- Design and optimize data center white space to meet power, space, cooling, and infrastructure standards. - Apply IT infrastructure expertise to systematically troubleshoot equipment issues. - Manage the lifecycle of data center IT assets from installation to operational support and retirement. - Install and de-install network cabling and similar hardware while ensuring compliance with PII data guidelines. - Oversee daily tasks and after-hours support of on-site cable vendors through project instructions and operational work requests via Service Now. - Facilitate the movement of equipment, racks, and materials within the data center. - Create CAD templates and establish new design standards for high-density deployments. - Prepare and distribute reports related to data center operations. - Support engineers by clarifying VLAN and network requirements for new IT infrastructure technologies. - Perform asset management tasks in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and maintain CAD and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) data. - Develop electrical quotes, supervise circuit installations, prepare power distribution cabinets, and manage PDU schedules. - Serve as the initial point of contact for connectivity, power, and cooling issues, and handle on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis. - Research, order, and evaluate new technology products for data center solutions. - Maintain inventory tracking and updates to ensure accurate material and supply counts. - Monitor and respond to environmental, security, and equipment monitoring systems. - Collaborate with corporate services facilities management vendors regarding MEP and environmental data center issues.
