Requirements
Must:
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with familiarity in Scala or Java as a bonus.
- Proficient in Apache Spark, including Spark SQL, DataFrames, and Streaming.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or Pub/Sub.
- Knowledgeable in cloud platforms, particularly GCP and Azure data services.
- Understanding of data warehousing solutions like Snowflake and Redshift, as well as NoSQL databases.
- Experience with tools such as Airflow, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing using Spark (PySpark/Scala) and streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink).
- Construct and enhance scalable data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses (BigQuery), and streaming solutions.
- Optimize performance by fine-tuning Spark jobs, SQL queries, and overall data processing workflows for increased speed, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement data quality assurance measures, including monitoring and alerting systems to guarantee data accuracy and consistency.
