Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience required; 5 years preferred
- Strong understanding of secure operating systems, networks, and databases
- Expertise in risk assessment and data processing security measures
- Proficient in encryption techniques and firewall implementation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps, and Office 365
- Knowledge of security governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR)
- Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a cybersecurity team
Responsibilities
- Ensure the security of operating systems, networks, and databases within the organization
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and test data processing systems for security compliance
- Create strategies to safeguard computer files against unauthorized access or loss
- Implement encryption for data transfers and establish firewalls for protection
- Facilitate risk audits, providing informed recommendations for system designs
- Oversee system access logs to ensure compliance with access permissions
- Address breaches of security procedures and communicate effectively to prevent recurrence
- Provide user training and promote security awareness to enhance overall security posture
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy in alignment with business objectives
- Lead incident response activities and collaborate with teams during security events
Description
