Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of relevant programming experience or a suitable blend of education and experience
- Experience as a machinist with Lathes and Mills; familiarity with Doosan machines is advantageous
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident as defined by ITAR regulations
- Proficient in GibbsCam machining software is essential
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and intricate sectional drawings
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight
Technologies
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and operate Lathe and Mill machinery, including setting tool offsets to produce First Article components
- Ensure all products are machined according to customer specifications and delivered within specified timelines
- Fabricate products from prints to completed parts
- Execute live tooling operations on machinery
- Maintain traceability of work in compliance with AS9100 standards
- Conduct self-inspection of initial product runs, complex prototypes, and machined components using appropriate quality assurance tools
- Identify and report any defective materials
- Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing departments to procure materials, parts, tooling, and supplies for daily operations
- Undertake preventative maintenance on machinery as necessary
