Requirements
Must:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or junior systems administration
- Proficient in managing Microsoft 365
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, VPN, and DHCP
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Organized with a focus on documentation
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, AZ-900) are a plus
- Valid drivers license with a readiness to travel to different branches as needed
Responsibilities
- User provisioning and deprovisioning management
- License assignment and administration of Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Oversee group and access management
- Set up and provide support for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Deploy laptops and mobile devices
- Manage Intune enrollment and ensure compliance
- Track assets and coordinate hardware lifecycle
- Perform Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting (email, VPN, connectivity, permissions)
- Document recurring issues and their solutions
- Support server and backup monitoring
- Collaborate with Managed Service Provider (MSP)
Description
We are looking for a dedicated Junior Systems Administrator to enhance the daily operations of our IT environment. This role emphasizes Microsoft 365 administration, device management, user assistance, and ensuring system reliability. Cybersecurity monitoring and advanced threat responses are managed by our trusted third-party Managed Service Provider (MSP). Located in our Calgary office, this onsite position requires a commitment to working in-house Monday through Friday, with occasional travel to other locations for operational support. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year along with comprehensive benefits including dental care, an employee assistance program, extended health care, life insurance, and paid time off.
