Requirements
Must:
- Advanced proficiency in Juniper SRX firewalls, including policy design, setup, and troubleshooting
- Experience in configuring, managing, and resolving issues with Juniper SRX firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN, and traffic analysis
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and address network connectivity challenges, firewall rule discrepancies, and security policy violations
- Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, and VRRP
- Knowledgeable in Juniper switching and familiar with managing and diagnosing network switch environments
- Understanding of fundamental routing and switching principles
- Familiarity with Aruba switching and wireless technologies
- Preferred: Experience in an IT service organization
- Comfortable using incident management tools
- Knowledge of ITIL practices
- Relevant certification in Juniper or Aruba technologies
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Juniper SRX firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security
- Develop and implement security policies, NAT, VPN configurations, and traffic inspection measures
- Address and resolve network connectivity problems and conflicts in firewall rules
- Ensure compliance with security policy regulations and standards
- Collaborate with team members to manage and troubleshoot network switch environments
- Conduct routine assessments of network performance and address any anomalies
- Provide support and guidance regarding routing and switching protocols
- Assist in training team members on best practices for network management
- Stay updated with trends in networking technologies and implement improvements where necessary
