Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Consideration of three years of relevant experience in lieu of each year of education
- Minimum of 4 years in Information Technology
- Extensive background in Data Analysis with strong SQL capabilities
- Ability to develop, optimize, and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction and reporting
- Proficient in SQL Server, Snowflake, Netezza, or comparable database platforms
- Expertise in data modeling, normalization, and de-normalization techniques
- Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex data structures
- Experience with Agile methodologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with US Healthcare Data
- Practical experience in data governance, compliance, security protocols, Data Analysis, and Data Visualization Tools
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and conduct business analysis, working closely with stakeholders to define technical specifications
- Understand and interpret data models to support data structuring and optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to convert business needs into technical specifications
- Desired proficiency in Python or other scripting languages for enhanced data analysis
- Perform database normalization and de-normalization for efficient data handling
- Execute complex database joins, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs), row qualification, and de-duplication techniques
- Analyze large SQL queries (1000+ lines) for efficiency, accuracy, and optimization
- Evaluate reports from Tableau and Power BI, assessing underlying queries to refine reporting needs
- Create source-to-target mappings based on established data models
- Conduct gap analysis to identify inconsistencies and areas for data enhancement
- Perform data profiling to spot anomalies, assess data behavior, and reveal discrepancies
- Ensure effective communication between business and technical teams
- Adapt in an Agile environment to meet changing project demands and timelines
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and methods quickly and efficiently
