Requirements
Must:
- 8-12 years of experience in software engineering or architecture
- 3-5 years of leadership in legacy modernization initiatives
- Extensive hands-on experience in application, data, and cloud architecture
- Proven track record in executing large-scale data migrations (TB+) with change data capture and high fidelity reconciliation
- Proficient in cloud architecture with AWS and/or Azure, including networking, IAM, storage, compute, managed databases, and monitoring
- Strong knowledge of security and compliance aspects such as encryption, secrets management, and audit trails
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the target state architecture across applications, data, integration, security, and operations
- Manage and update the modernization roadmap, including iterative cutovers and rollback strategies
- Establish and monitor non-functional requirements (NFRs) and service level agreements (SLAs) related to availability, performance, and compliance
- Lead data profiling and discovery initiatives, creating a blueprint for data rationalization
- Develop and oversee data quality metrics, lineage, and metadata standards
- Architect migration strategies for historical data, ensuring proper validation and reconciliation
- Select and direct the appropriate tooling for ETL/ELT, data quality, and metadata management
- Implement strategies for data archiving, retention, and PII protection in accordance with regulations
- Guide teams through the execution of architectural plans, translating these into actionable epics and stories
- Conduct architecture reviews and mentor engineers to foster a culture of automation and reliability
