Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience as an Oracle DBA, specifically in both primary and secondary roles
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC)
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot RAC and ASM-related issues
- Experience with database creation, upgrades, patching, and migration tasks
- Strong skills in performance tuning
- Familiarity with setting up Oracle Data Guard and resolving data synchronization problems
- Solid understanding of backup and restore strategies for disaster scenarios
- Expertise in RMAN optimization
- Knowledge of Golden Gate installation and configuration, including troubleshooting synchronization issues
- Understanding of database standards and best practices
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of Oracle databases and provide Level 3 DBA support for assigned servers
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC environments
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to RAC and ASM
- Manage database builds, upgrades, patches, and migration activities
- Perform performance tuning to enhance database efficiency
- Establish Oracle Data Guard setups and address data synchronization challenges
- Develop and implement effective backup and restore strategies for disaster recovery
- Optimize RMAN processes to ensure reliability
- Oversee the installation and configuration of Golden Gate and troubleshoot related sync issues
- Enforce database standards and implement best practices
