Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, specifically in private cloud environments
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as OpenStack, VMware, or Azure Stack
- Strong skills in scripting and automation, particularly with Python, Ansible, or Terraform
- Extensive knowledge of networking, storage, and virtualization technologies
- Relevant certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or VMware Certified Professional are advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design and architect private cloud solutions that align with business needs and industry standards
- Deploy and configure private cloud infrastructure, focusing on compute, storage, and networking components
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance cloud operations and boost efficiency
- Implement and uphold security best practices to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory for both internal and customer systems
- Monitor cloud performance, detect bottlenecks, and optimize resources for sustained high availability and reliability
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and Application Development, to provide cohesive solutions
- Offer advanced troubleshooting and support for intricate cloud issues
- Mentor junior members of the cloud solutions team, promoting a culture of ongoing learning and improvement
- Participate in the on-call rotation
