Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in technical support roles with strong troubleshooting capabilities in software and hardware environments.
- Comprehensive understanding of computer networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN configurations, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols like Meraki.
- Proficient in operating systems such as Microsoft Windows (including Windows Server), macOS, and various Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with enterprise management tools like SCCM, GPOs, Active Directory, and BMC Remedy for streamlined system administration.
- Knowledgeable in help desk ticketing systems including ServiceNow or Jira for effective issue resolution tracking.
- Exceptional communication abilities to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical skills to quickly and accurately diagnose complex issues while offering proactive solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical assistance to end-users via help desk channels, resolving hardware, software, and network connectivity issues with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Diagnose and resolve software problems across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption.
- Oversee computer systems and peripherals utilizing tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and GPO (Group Policy Objects), maintaining optimal performance and security.
- Assist with network administration tasks such as configuring VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and ensuring reliable LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) connectivity.
- Support IT infrastructure management for server environments such as Windows Server and Linux servers, along with Active Directory and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Utilize ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy to document issues, track resolutions, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Maintain mobile devices and computer hardware to ensure all technology assets operate at peak efficiency.
