Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- I am looking for candidates with 3 to 6 years of experience working with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) data, which includes processing reports, analyzing data, and supporting EVMS-related tasks.
- Proven expertise in EVMS reporting and analysis is essential.
- Experience with DCMA/SUPSHIP surveillance and compliance activities is necessary.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements is required.
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) software tools is a must.
- I expect candidates to be skilled in scheduling software and have a solid understanding of schedule integration and critical path analysis.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, particularly strong skills in Excel, is important.
- Strong data analysis capabilities and effective communication of findings to Control Account Managers (CAMs) and management are crucial.
- Experience in a DoD environment and/or the shipbuilding industry is a plus.
- Experience in surveillance/compliance, specifically DCMA/SUPSHIP, is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- I will need you to produce, update, and maintain monthly performance reports that monitor program advancements in alignment with EVMS standards.
- Ensure timely submission of accurate IPMR/IPMDAR reports.
- Collaborate with Control Account Managers (CAMs) to provide thorough variance analyses required in IPMR/IPMDAR.
- Maintain weekly EVMS data to monitor internal labor progress following EVMS standards.
- Generate and manage all necessary EVMS documentation for projects, such as Work Authorization Documents (WADs), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), Control Account Plan (CAP), Contract Budget Baseline Log (CBBL), and Baseline Adjustment Request (BAR) Log.
- Mentor and train EVMS Analysts on weekly and monthly reporting procedures; assist in troubleshooting any technical or process-related issues.
- Coordinate and draft responses to government inquiries concerning EVMS.
- Efficiently price all BARs.
- Analyze and validate all EVMS and performance data (weekly/monthly) to create actionable metrics for the Program Office.
- Create reports and visualizations for weekly internal Austal Management reviews and government briefings.
- Partner with production teams to observe performance and develop process improvement plans where opportunities arise.
- Provide EVMS training to Control Account Managers (CAMs) to guarantee consistency and compliance in reporting.
- Support the EVMS Manager in leading any required formal program reviews or meetings with government EVMS representatives, including Integrated Baseline Review (IBR), Production Readiness Review (PRR), Joint Surveillance Audit (JSA), and monthly progress review meetings.
- Actively participate in software upgrade testing for Web EVM and Empower.
- Contribute to the development and ongoing enhancement of DCMA compliant policies and procedures.
Description
This position requires working under minimal supervision and applying standard procedures and analytical judgment within established guidelines. I expect the successful candidate to liaise with Austal Cost Accountants, Control Account Managers, the Program Office, and Schedulers. Candidates must fulfill specific employment eligibility criteria, including being at least 18 years old, providing proof of US Person Status, and having no felony convictions related to Theft/Deception, Violent crimes, or Drug crimes within specified timeframes.
