Requirements
Must:
- Current student or recent graduate in IT or a related field (preferred)
- Comfortable with hands-on physical tasks
- Capable of safely using ladders up to 8 feet
- Detail-oriented and adept at following instructions
- Dependable and professional demeanor
Responsibilities
- Assist with the onsite deployment of network equipment to support upgrade initiatives
- Load and organize deployment carts with necessary equipment and materials
- Stage wireless access points (APs), IPTV set-top boxes (STBs), and GPON optical network terminals (ONTs)
- Verify equipment quantities and prepare devices according to project guidelines
- Transport equipment and supplies to designated deployment areas
- Remove existing APs, STBs, and ONTs as directed
- Install and secure new equipment in specified locations
- Use ladders (up to 8 feet) while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure proper cable arrangement and basic organization within cabinets
- Maintain cleanliness and reduce disruption in guest areas
- Enter or verify device identifiers in tracking systems
- Execute basic activation or setup tasks using established procedures
- Confirm power, indicator lights, and physical connectivity
- Communicate completion status and room numbers to supervising technicians
Description
We are excited to offer the IT Summer Internship position, where you can immerse yourself in hands-on technological deployments within a vibrant hospitality environment. This full-time, project-based role will run from May 2026 through August 2026, requiring availability from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for up to 40 hours weekly. You will gain invaluable experience while working closely with our Information Technology team during a significant network modernization initiative. The pay rate for this position in Hawaii is $22.50 per hour, and selected benefits may be included in the compensation package.
