Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering
- Strong foundational skills in software development and computer science
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/Query, and Perl
- Extensive experience with object-oriented programming, relational databases, distributed computing technologies, and RESTful APIs
- Experience architecting and developing solutions on AWS
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and involvement in the software development lifecycle, deployment, and support of software projects
- Knowledge of version control tools like Perforce and Git
- Proven track record of leading or developing high-quality, enterprise-scale software products using a structured development lifecycle
- Familiarity with big data analytics methods such as data warehousing (Snowflake) and data mining (Looker) is advantageous
- Experience with agentic AI is a plus
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Deliver customer value through the development of high-quality software components and services, ensuring compliance with R&D standards on security, performance, longevity, and integration testing
- Propose technical designs and implementations that effectively address scaling and performance challenges
- Identify innovative opportunities across teams, displaying a willingness to experiment and tackle complex problems
- Actively seek out opportunities to recycle services and product features, collaborating to minimize redundancy across engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team and across other zones
- Engage with customers and internal stakeholders, serving as a consultant and advocate for the payer solutions team
