Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of professional frontend development experience with complete ownership of shipped products
- Proven expertise in React, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend tools
- Experience in creating production applications utilizing NextJS or Vite
- Proficient in working directly from Figma (components, libraries, tokens)
- Ability to work autonomously and take full charge of frontend features from design through deployment
- Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and UI/UX standards
- Experience developing for both web and mobile platforms (responsive or hybrid)
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience is preferred with a focus on shipping products
- Familiarity with AI-powered, data-intensive, or streaming/async interfaces
- Knowledge of Python backends, REST APIs, and data-driven applications is a plus
- Experience in creating a Chrome extension is desirable
- Familiarity with Shadcn is preferred
- Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, or similar backends is a plus
- Experience using frontend testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, Cypress) is advantageous
- Interest in full-stack development or broader system architecture is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React, TypeScript, Tailwind, CSS, and NextJS
- Translate Figma designs, components, and design tokens into a refined UI suitable for MVP, user testing, and scaling to production
- Manage features from concept to launch and subsequent iterations
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to enhance interactions and user flows
- Integrate frontend solutions with Python-based APIs and AI/LLM-driven services
- Partner with backend engineers on architecture, data flows, and API design
- Ensure accessibility, performance, and usability through functional and UX quality assurance
- Help establish initial frontend standards, component patterns, and testing methodologies, with an emphasis on evolution as the product matures

As the first frontend engineer on our team, you will collaborate directly with our founders to guide the development of the initial MVP and iterate rapidly based on user feedback.
