Requirements

Must:
- Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science or information technology - Security+ Certification - Minimum of five (5) years of relevant technical experience within the last 10 years - At least 2 years of experience with MS SQL Server within the past 7 years - Basic understanding of Tactical Data Link Military Standards (MIL-STDs 6016, 6017, 3011, 6022) is advantageous, though not mandatory - Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently - Understanding of USAF IT and Cybersecurity processes - Capability to obtain USAF IT system administration privileges for local system eSMART installations - Knowledge of Tactical Data Link platform implementation documentation via the Interoperability Systems Management and Requirements Transformation process is preferred but not essential

Responsibilities

- Deploy and monitor the latest versions of the iSMART/ESMART toolset across the Department of Defense - Deliver updated versions of the toolset according to a schedule set by the Government - Register applications and systems within the Enterprise Information Technology Data Repository (EITDR) - Provide technical support to users regarding the iSMART process and ESMART tool for acquisition programs and other users developing platform TDL specifications - Address help desk inquiries related to weapon system program office (SPO) platform TDL integration and the proper use of the ESMART tool - Assist in creating and delivering updated iSMART/ESMART training materials and support quarterly classes for about 8-10 students per session - Collaborate with the ESMART vendor as needed for current training materials - Develop and uphold iSMART data capture principles along with an ESMART configuration management strategy - Include access controls on data within the iSMART/ESMART database - Investigate individual platform TDL implementations to document Joint and combined interoperability capabilities - Collect TDL implementation data for both new and legacy platforms, data forwarders, data translators, and TDN gateways to transform into ESMART data - Research and compile information for Background Papers, staff studies, or presentation materials as directed by the Government
