Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Technical Master's Degree and have at least 10 years of relevant experience. (Additional experience may be accepted in place of the degree.)
- I possess an active Secret clearance and am capable of obtaining and maintaining a Top Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
- I meet the DOD 8140 Cyber Workforce Foundational Qualification requirements before commencing work.
- I have experience using modern penetration testing tools and techniques.
- I am proficient in testing and exploiting web applications.
- I display strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- I have good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- I demonstrate excellent self-initiative and motivation, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- I can effectively collaborate in both small and large team contexts to tackle complex problems.
- I am capable of coordinating with DOD Program Offices to scope, plan, execute, and report on penetration tests.
- I possess substantial knowledge of Windows and Linux (including Kali) Operating Systems.
Responsibilities
- I conduct independent penetration testing, data collection, test automation, and reporting.
- I develop testing tools and strategies for cybersecurity evaluations within the DOD.
- I perform system security analyses on systems and/or software to identify and understand vulnerabilities.
- I execute hands-on testing that incorporates technical skills across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) as well as various software/databases (Apache, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).
- I provide technical guidance and support to penetration testing teams.
- I document and communicate test results effectively to both technical and non-technical user groups in both written and oral formats.
- I contribute technical support in the management, planning, and execution of CVI, ACD, and CVPA.
