Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 18 years of relevant experience, with 10 years in support of the DoD.
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- In-depth understanding of best practices in Systems Engineering and Capability Maturity Model Integration.
- Knowledge of the DoD acquisition process from either government agencies or leading development contractors.
- Familiarity with agile acquisition methods is essential.
- Proficiency in Link-16, UHF CNR, USMTF, and COMSEC systems.
- Understanding of OMS architectures, AEHF/WGS waveforms, and tactical communications planning.
- Experience working with Joint working groups and configuration control boards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a complex, diverse systems engineering and enterprise IT network environment.
- Design, implement, and refine innovative systems engineering practices, ensuring the delivery of quality technical outputs.
- Analyze and trace both functional and non-functional system requirements, test cases, and architecture components.
- Clearly communicate issues, inquiries, and recommendations to clients.
- Propose enhancements to the systems engineering process to better support mission objectives.
- Conduct data analysis and align business strategies with long-term technical roadmaps.
- Assess the feasibility of both new and existing project requirements.
- Develop presentations and solutions for senior management, articulating complex ideas effectively.
- Exhibit high proficiency in Systems Engineering across multiple large-scale projects.
Description
We are Astrion, and we offer an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineering Support role within our C3I and Infrastructure Division at Hanscom AFB, MA. We focus on providing enterprise support to over 110 active Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve installations and bases. Our position offers an estimated salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, along with an $8k sign-on bonus.
