We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
- Certification: 8570 IAT Level 2 certification to comply with DoD 8140 baseline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in Network & Cyber Engineering.
- Clearance: An active Top Secret clearance, which necessitates US citizenship for eligibility.
- Additional Skills & Experience:
- 8570 IAT Level 2 certification to meet the DoD 8140 certification baseline.
- Practical experience in the installation and configuration of networks (LAN, WAN), along with knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience in setting up and installing servers, including configuration and hardening.
- Proficiency in a Windows environment, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will be working directly with the government to support technical exchange meetings and briefings among various stakeholders. Approximately 60% of my work will focus on network engineering, while 40% will be dedicated to cybersecurity functions. My responsibilities will also include the development, completion, and delivery of annual reviews and updates, as well as certifying and reaccrediting all classified and unclassified network systems, standalone systems, and mission systems. I will monitor and maintain the Vulnerability Management System by entering all closed Technical Compliance Network Orders into the DISA database and addressing SCAP and ACAS scan findings. Additionally, I will perform Network Engineering tasks that involve configuring and setting up routers and switches, along with necessary patching.
