Requirements
Must:
We seek candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree in a recognized engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution, along with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, five of which should be within the Department of Defense (DoD). You should have a strong background in developing requirements, production, deployment, and operational support. Familiarity with architecture development and implementation, modeling and simulation (including Model Based Systems Engineering principles), verification and validation, technical data package development, and configuration management principles is expected. Additionally, experience with network architectures, embedded systems, and application deployment across various systems, including cloud solutions and virtualization, is essential. Knowledge of DoD acquisition processes—such as Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, Engineering Manufacturing and Development, and Production and Deployment—is preferred. Experience in Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations with live aircrew training and development of tactics is a plus. All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Responsibilities
In this role, I conduct thorough program portfolio reviews to assess and recommend alternative strategies, enhance systems engineering processes, manage technical baselines, and design and perform system-level tests to ensure compliance with specifications. I review and evaluate various plans, systems engineering programs, designs, and test results to guarantee that system performance meets program standards. I create technical documentation that defines system and subsystem characteristics and prepare management reports and presentations for implementation and corrective actions. My duties also include validating systems, developing criteria and procedures, and providing engineering and technical support for various programs, including acquisition and deployment. Additionally, I support risk management activities in accordance with the Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model (AF SEAM) processes and conduct formal trade studies considering various factors like performance, reliability, and cost.

This position is a full-time opportunity based at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK, offering a competitive salary range of $105,000.00 to $115,000.00 annually. The role includes limited travel as needed and requires a Secret clearance. As a Senior System Engineer, I will apply my broad theoretical and practical knowledge to the entire acquisition life cycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal, ensuring the design, operation, and sustainability of systems and components in support of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
