We require a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience in DoD Systems Engineering support and at least 3 years of experience working with the Anti-Tamper (AT) Framework. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical field from an accredited institution is essential. You should demonstrate your ability to support a variety of programmatic and technical tasks and operate autonomously. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to deliver presentations and collaborate effectively with external stakeholders, are crucial. Proficiency in the MS Office suite is also necessary, along with a DoD Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide Engineering Support Services (ESS) to the U.S. Navy PEO IWS 4.0 System Security Engineering (SSE) Team. Your work will involve both off-site in contractor spaces and on-site at the Washington Navy Yard, Washington, DC. You will offer programmatic and technical support, overseeing System Security (SS) solution development, ensuring compliance with the Technical Implementation Guide (TIG), and the Anti-Tamper (AT) Framework while facilitating integration with FMS systems. Additionally, you will support the Risk Management process, develop and review Systems Engineering Plans (SEP) and SE Management Plans (SEMP), and review vendor-developed AT plans. Your role will also involve drafting and reviewing point papers, general correspondence, and technical briefings.
Description
We are Astrion, and we are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $135,000 - $150,000 USD annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications. Work will primarily be conducted onsite 3-4 days per week, with the opportunity to work remotely for 1-2 days. Familiarity with Security Cooperation Policy, specifically regarding Foreign Military Sales, and Combat System Architecture, including combat systems design, production, operations, and support processes is desired. Experience with Agile methodology, developing System Security Engineering Plans (SEP), System Security Plans, technical artifacts, and integrated fielding schedules is also highly beneficial. We appreciate expertise in supporting SSE activities as described in DoD Acquisition guidelines and look forward to welcoming the right individual to our team.
