Requirements
Must:
- 1 to 5 years of experience in QA / Manual Testing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Deep knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience in designing and executing test cases
- Familiarity with the bug/defect lifecycle
- Proven track record of writing and executing comprehensive manual test cases
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, and smoke testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM
Responsibilities
- Execute manual test cases for ATM applications, system patches, and application upgrades
- Conduct functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing
- Validate ATM transactions, screen flows, and error scenarios to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Document test results, maintain test evidence, and log defects using tracking tools
- Perform defect retesting and assist with post-deployment validation activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee timely, high-quality releases
Description
At BMO Financial, we are in search of a meticulous QA Analyst with robust manual testing experience to support the validation of ATM applications, patches, and system upgrades. Our ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), excellent communication capabilities, and experience with defect tracking and test documentation. This position requires close collaboration with our QA teams, developers, and production support teams to ensure high-quality releases and system stability. This is a fully onsite role located in Toronto, ON for a contract period of 12 months.
