Must:

- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a telecom technician
- Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency

- Problem-solving aptitude
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Comfortable working independently
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting maps
- Bucket certification; understanding of Ohms law
- Familiarity with outside plant operations
- Knowledge of using ladders and hand or power tools
Responsibilities
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system outages in both aerial and underground environments based on transmission levels, signal loss, and interference
- Conduct emergency restoration of aerial and underground coaxial cables due to damage or breaks
- Perform preventative maintenance on power supplies and equipment through testing, balancing, alignment, and adjustments
- Monitor and document cable leakage while adhering to applicable regulations
- Assist colleagues with fiber splicing tasks
- Complete and distribute necessary documentation, including work orders and daily logs
- Carry out additional tasks as needed
