Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure roles
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related area (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Azure, and Microsoft 365
- Solid grasp of foundational networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN
- Experience with firewall and VPN technologies (Fortinet familiarity is a plus)
- Knowledge of endpoint management and configuration tools like Autopilot and Intune
- Working experience with web servers (IIS, Apache) and databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for documentation and troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously, while fostering collaboration within a team
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and juggling operational duties with project responsibilities
- Willingness to explore new technologies and adapt to changing IT landscapes
- *Nice to Have:*
- Familiarity with SIEM, DMARC, Linux
- Experience creating dashboards and reports for system monitoring
- Understanding of vulnerability management and penetration testing
- Previous exposure to CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Relevant technical certifications
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, inclusive of Microsoft 365 and Azure services
- Support firewall, Wi-Fi, network, and VPN systems while contributing to ongoing security enhancements
- Regularly maintain systems and applications through efficient patching, upgrades, and configuration adjustments
- Monitor system performance and uptime, addressing alerts and issues promptly
- Configure, oversee, and validate backups and disaster recovery processes while assisting in business continuity planning
- Install, set up, and provide support for virtual servers, end-user devices, network hardware, and audiovisual systems
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to facilitate updates and support for hosted web applications
- Engage in technology upgrades, new system launches, and automation initiatives
- Lead assigned projects from inception to completion, encompassing planning, execution, and documentation
- Produce technical documentation, diagrams, configurations, user manuals, and training resources
- Deliver technical support and guidance to internal team members and external clients as required

We are currently seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join our Finance and Operations team and support our technology infrastructure across various business units. The role is based in our Toronto office, with a hybrid work arrangement available that aligns with our current policy.
