Requirements
Must:
- Over 6 years of practical experience in Java development, showcasing proficiency in coding, debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing.
- Strong competency in Linux and Windows operating systems for development and troubleshooting tasks.
- Solid SQL expertise with the ability to construct optimized queries and navigate relational database architectures.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, including knowledge of container orchestration, deployment processes, and configuration management.
- Experience in application development within public and private cloud settings, with awareness of cloud-native design patterns and secure coding practices.
- Background in vulnerability management, including the identification, assessment, and resolution of security concerns in codebases and containerized environments.
- Basic understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD methodologies (including version control, automated testing frameworks, and build automation).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of independently addressing complex challenges.
- Prior experience in the banking or capital markets sector (focusing on Compliance, regulatory reporting, or similar fields) is advantageous.
- Proficient with Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Spark, coding standards, design methodologies, unit testing, and demonstrating strong communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs that support front-end applications and integration partners.
- Enhance functionality across Compliance applications to align with business and regulatory requirements.
- Generate new Compliance reports by sourcing, transforming, and integrating data from our enterprise Data Lake.
- Implement data quality assurance protocols, including validation rules and automated accuracy checks.
- Advance the Compliance platform to accommodate Capital Markets regulatory initiatives and evolving business demands.
- Create secure, versioned APIs and data feeds with comprehensive documentation for internal and external system users.
- Provide Level 3 production support, which entails conducting root-cause analyses, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate with front-end engineering teams to establish interfaces, streamline data flows, and ensure effective integration with backend components.
- Optimize system performance through query tuning, service refactoring, and enhancements to data-processing pipelines.
- Engage actively in code reviews, architectural discussions, and ongoing improvement efforts within our Compliance technology framework.
- Take ownership of deliverables, work independently, thrive under pressure, and be a dependable team contributor.
