We are looking for candidates with a strong background in Linux System Administration, ideally with over 8 years of hands-on experience in a production or enterprise environment. A BS or Masters degree in Engineering, Science, Communication, or Information Technology is preferred. Candidates should also possess excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in installing and configuring network hardware such as switches, routers, and firewalls is essential.
Additional skills include:
- Expertise in Bash shell scripting (PHP capabilities are a bonus).
- In-depth knowledge of various Linux distributions including Ubuntu, Alma, Rocky, RedHat, SuSE Enterprise Linux, and Windows or *BSD.
- Familiarity with standard services like DNS, DHCP, TFTP, and PXE.
- Capability to diagnose server and storage software/hardware challenges.
- Experience with Version Control Systems (GIT, SVN, RCS, CVS).
- Skills in building applications from source and addressing compiling issues.
- Knowledge of compilers including GNU, Intel, and AOCC.
- Storage experience including installation and tuning for ZFS, XFS, GPFS, Luster, Hadoop, and Ceph.
- Proficiency in shell scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare, Xen, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Understanding of the x86 bootstrap process (BIOS, RAID, Fiber Channel).
- Familiarity with batch control systems (SLURM, SGE, MOAB, Torque/Maui, PBS Pro).
- Knowledge of cluster management tools (Warewulf, xCat, Bright).
- Experience with container technologies (Apptainer, Singularity, Podman, Docker).
- Willingness to travel as needed and strong customer service skills.
- Proven ability in Project Management with a strong focus on accountability and detail.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently.

Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage directly with clients while providing exceptional support for HPC clusters, AI/ML/GPU computing, parallel file storage systems, and enterprise-class servers. Your responsibilities will include everything from on-site installations to delivering remote managed services. You will also be responsible for providing technical support based on industry standards.
Your day-to-day tasks will involve working with various HPC software stacks, specifically focusing on Linux operating systems, MPIs, schedulers, and low-latency interconnects like InfiniBand.
