Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- An associates degree or coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant experience through internships, labs, or personal projects is welcomed.
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) or A+ certification is desirable; we foster and support candidates pursuing their first certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily help desk assistance and address IT support tickets.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- Set up, configure, and maintain computers, systems, and user accounts.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) and fundamental cloud environments (Azure/Active Directory).
- Install and update software, device drivers, and operating systems.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical users and offer basic training as necessary.
- Document procedures and manage IT inventory.
- Collaborate with vendors and facilitate technology setups for new stores or locations.
- Assist with basic networking and cabling needs and suggest system enhancements.
Description
We are seeking a motivated individual for the part-time Help Desk Technician role, designed for those eager to kickstart their career in Information Technology. As the initial point of contact for internal support, you will manage daily help desk inquiries and deliver friendly, effective assistance to non-technical personnel. You dont need prior IT experience, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Ideal candidates are curious, quick learners, and adept at clear communication. This position offers an excellent opportunity to establish foundational skills in user support, hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 environments within a dynamic retail and operations context. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $20 to $22 per hour.
