Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of four (4) years of professional IT experience, preferably in an MSP environment.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, and security/compliance settings.
- Strong background in networking, encompassing switches, wireless, firewalls, and VPN troubleshooting.
- In-depth experience with Windows desktop and Windows Server systems.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, simplifying complex issues for non-technical users while also engaging technically with fellow engineers.
- Excellent judgment in determining when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate, with a commitment to clear documentation of both processes.
- A valid Microsoft 365 certification is preferred, with the expectation to obtain it within six (6) months if not already certified at the time of hire; we cover training costs and provide a bonus upon successful certification.
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record are required.
- Successful completion of a background check is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Resolve support tickets related to Microsoft 365, Windows desktop, servers, and client networks, primarily through remote assistance, while also providing onsite support as needed.
- Conduct onsite visits to client offices within the Omaha metro area for hardware installations, network modifications, project support, and incident management.
- Take full ownership of issues from diagnosis to resolution, ensuring thorough documentation and communication throughout the process.
- Maintain accurate records of client environments and ensure that ticket notes are clear and beneficial for future engineers.
- Mentor and assist in the development of junior technicians by sharing knowledge and fostering an environment of learning and support.
- Participate in a limited after-hours emergency rotation, with compensation provided for after-hours work.
