Requirements
Must:
- 3+ years of experience in network management and security, specifically with local and wide area network infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure and vendor relations is advantageous.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational and communication abilities, along with the capability to work independently.
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT discipline.
Responsibilities
- Oversee LAN and Multi-Site WAN, as well as virtualization environments utilizing Cisco, Adtran routers, and HPE switches.
- Set up and troubleshoot Watchguard and Palo Alto Firewalls, SSL VPNs, and remote office VPN tunnels.
- Monitor LAN/WAN performance, resolve application issues, and aid in system administration activities.
- Lead initiatives for network upgrades, manage patch applications, and facilitate communication with vendors regarding hardware and software.
- Develop and refine Visio diagrams, network policies, and security protocols adhering to industry best practices.
- Educate IT personnel on network tools and ensure comprehensive documentation of troubleshooting and configuration processes.
- Partake in after-hours on-call rotations and may require occasional travel to local and regional locations.
