Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with a focus on Automation and SCADA platforms is preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant post-graduate experience in manufacturing is preferred
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes and machine design
- Proficiency in drafting and executing complex engineering study protocols and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Strong knowledge of automation design specifications, software testing, and process validation
- Familiarity with machine protocols such as MTConnect, OPC UA, Modbus, and MQTT
- Advanced skills in Systems and Controls programming and integration
- Proficiency in using project management tools to plan projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and technicians
- Capability to innovate new design solutions for existing or new equipment
- Knowledge of relevant ISO, FDA, and internal quality assurance policies
Responsibilities
- Lead the Operations Technology team in designing and maintaining systems to utilize plant floor data for business enhancements
- Ensure platform security and reliability while developing expertise in Industry 4.0
- Program new equipment and build scalable solutions for manufacturing
- Establish and uphold technology governance and standards
- Develop training standards and support for engineering and technical staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, safety, and ergonomics
- Analyze business processes for efficiency improvements
- Participate in gathering user requirements and document technical specifications
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to engineering teams
- Manage project schedules and tasks effectively
- Monitor equipment for performance and propose enhancements as needed
- Lead large technology initiatives and guide teams through solution implementation
- Facilitate effective communication across technical and non-technical team members
