Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of experience in a testing or validation capacity.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
- Basic knowledge of EV charging protocols and power systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for automating tests is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
- Understanding of EV charging systems and technologies from a hardware and systems perspective.
- Familiarity with mixed signal designs from an electrical viewpoint.
- Experience in product level testing (end to end).
- Knowledge of embedded product design like EV chargers or similar high-power devices.
- Experience with component, system, and product level testing is beneficial.
- Understanding of pre-compliance and certification testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with test automation and scriptwriting is preferred.
- Experience in testing EVSE or automotive systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, Modbus, or Ethernet.
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and implementing test plans for EV charging hardware and software systems.
- Establish and maintain test environments involving power electronics, communication interfaces (OCPP, ISO 15118), and vehicle simulators.
- Conduct functional, regression, and stress tests on Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
- Document testing procedures, outcomes, and discrepancies in an organized manner.
- Work collaboratively with design, firmware, and systems engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Support compliance testing in accordance with industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, SAE).
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of testing methodologies and automation frameworks.
